Lombardy Boutique Hotel is an exclusive estate that has, in times past, been reserved for the well-known faces and personalities of South Africa and further afield. The hotel's success is established by maintaining the deeply engrained values of treating each guest with personalised commitment and offering an opulent experience for all. Old-world charm and timeless elegance define the ambience of this boutique establishment along with a deep sense of concern for the needs and desires of each Lombardy guest.
For sheer luxury and an escape from the outside world, Lombardy promises peace, quiet and serenity. It has recently been refurbished and renovated to guarantee guests of an even more memorable experience.
The estate is equipped with boutiques, restaurants and a gym. In addition, a beauty and wellness spa will ensure that guests are feeling invigorated and refreshed during their stay and the two swimming pools are sure to provide added refreshment during the hot South African summers. Tennis courts and private sun-tanning areas keep guests looking and feeling their best.
The Lombardy Boutique Hotel boasts 16 beautiful suites, each enjoying a personalised décor and an inviting ambience of chic elegance. The Presidential Suite is perfect for honeymooners too, as its Jacuzzi and views are sure to incite the romantic spirit. The hotel is due for expansion after the 2010 FIFA World Cup™.
Each guest will immediately sense the priority placed on personalised service and a desire to make the guest feel valued and special.
Suites are equipped with air-conditioning, safes, satellite TV's, wireless Internet connectivity and a mini-bar. The laundry service is available to all guests.
The Executive Suite includes all of the standard facilities as well as a private garden, Jacuzzi, fireplace and lounge.
The Lombardy Restaurant boasts fine dining at its best. It is recognised by locals and regular visitors for its superior menu and ingredients as well as its opulent atmosphere and efficient service. Dishes are tasty and fresh, while chefs do not hold back from trying new things. This means that diners of all levels of adventurousness are well-rewarded with a delicious taste sensation.
There are three dining rooms from which to choose. These act as great venues for presentations or special functions. These venues are The Monza (a dinner venue), The Cellar (an authentic wine cellar in which a variety of functions can be accommodated) and The Library (better suited to breakfast functions).
Enjoy a hearty breakfast in preparation for a full day of sightseeing or business meetings, a light lunch that is distinctly Italian in nature and a gourmet dinner guaranteed to delight the senses. The refreshments on the Lombardy menu are equally tasty and diverse. Start off with exciting cocktail, sip world-class South African wines with your meal and finish with a liqueur or brandy.
Conferencing and Functions
Because Pretoria and the Lombardy Boutique Hotel are so close to Gauteng, South Africa's commercial epicentre, corporate guests are placed within close proximity to various business centres and amenities. The conference facilities at the hotel are well-equipped, comfortable and efficient. The Casa Milano venue can accommodate up to 200 delegates, while the Formal & Informal Lounge is better suited to smaller functions. These facilities are suitable for launches, seminars, training sessions and so on.
However, these venues are not exclusively dedicated to conferences. Weddings and dances are frequently held here, drawing from the surrounding beauty and natural style. The stunning gardens, gazebo, trees and Italian overtones make for a superb venue. The gazebo is transformed into a chapel for wedding ceremonies.
