This country hotel is situated within 25 acres of neatly manicured gardens, transporting guests to a magical sanctuary of peace that only comes from being at one with nature. The weather is great in summer and winter. Summer days are hot, while winters are comfortable and often even warm. Winter nights and early mornings can be cold, with a chance of snow on the mountains.
Rooms have been designed to exude a sense of serene relaxation and peace. Each suite has tea- and coffee-making facilities and a radio. Recent additions include ceiling fans, safes, heated floors and heated towel racks. There has been a deliberate exclusion of televisions in most of the rooms as guests are encouraged to explore the stunning surrounds.
Garden Rondavels - for families or groups of up to six people, these rondavels are ideal. They have double or twin beds, en-suite bathrooms, a radio, dressing table and cupboard.
Premier Garden Rondavels - These rooms also accommodate up to six people. The rondavels are scattered around the hotel's gardens, just minutes from the main hotel building. They are fully services, have heated floors and towel rails, en-suite bathrooms, cupboards and a radio.
Mountain Facing Rooms - The Drakensberg Mountain Range is an attraction in itself. Guests of the Nest Drakensberg Resort Hotel have the coveted privilege of waking up to views of these mountains every morning.
Rooms 60 - 63 - These are duplexes with two bedrooms, sleeping a total of four people. The main bedroom has a private verandah and a double bed, dressing table, en-suite bathroom (shared between the bedrooms) and clothes cupboard. The second bedroom has two single beds with cupboards.
Rooms 64 - 69 - These rooms have a double bedroom and a private balcony along with an en-suite bathroom and cupboards.
Rooms 50 - 53 - Ideal for three people, the open-plan bedroom is equipped with a double bed, single bed, cupboards and dressing table. The private balcony promises enviable views of the surrounding landscape.
Executive Suites - These large suites are equipped with a king-size bed, heated floors, telephone, dressing room, twin basins, shower, spa bath, heated towel rails, 72cm television, satellite, HiFi, mini bar, gas fireplace and a private balcony. The décor of the Executive Suites demonstrates our ongoing commitment to style and luxury.
The in-house restaurant offers a full menu of breakfast, lunch and dinner dishes, all bursting with fresh, South African flavours. The Nest Hotel has implemented and designed several activities and facilities for the entire family to enjoy while vacationing in South Africa. These include helicopter flips, bowling, fishing, golf, shopping, white water rafting, sun tanning, hiking and walking. There are three bowling greens, two tennis courts, a swimming pool, a badminton court, volleyball court, swing ball facilities, dartboard, billiards table and pool table available to guests. Out of the hotel's grounds, but within close proximity, are horse riding facilities, paintball, fly fishing opportunities and gliding facilities.
