The Camps Bay Retreat Hotel is situated on a small estate overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and nestled between the mountain ranges of Table Mountain, Lions Head, Signal Hill and the Twelve Apostles. This exclusive retreat features the historical 1929 Earl's Dyke Manor and the modern Deckhouse set in beautiful gardens.
The original Earl's Dyke Manor dates from 1911. This private estate was then sold in 1920 and the house demolished in 1929. The present manor house, which is designed by William Grant, was built during the same year.
Guests at the Camps Bay Retreat Hotel can choose from 2 different types of accommodation: The historical Earl's Dyke Manor and the modern Deck House.
The historical Earl's Dyke Manor reflects the graceful and elegant atmosphere of its origins. Unique art paintings, dark wooden interiors, beautifully decorated rooms and suites, the cosy fireplace in the lounge area as well as the beautiful staircase create the Earl's Dyke Manor's refined and exclusive character.
The so-called owner's suite features a private balcony, a large dressing room and lounge with panoramic views of the ocean and the mountain ranges. All rooms at the Earl's Dyke Manor feature refreshment stations with tea and coffee making facilities, mini bars, satellite television, telephones, lap top facilities and DVD players.
The Deck House, departing from the formal and historical theme at Earl's Dyke Manor, is modern and luxurious throughout its rooms and suites. The Deck House features large sunlit wooden deck spaces from which spectacular views can be enjoyed over Camps Bay, Camps Bay beach and the ocean. A private outdoor swimming pool is set in extensive lush gardens.
All the rooms and suites at the Deck House have wooden outdoor balconies with deck chairs and refreshment stations with tea and coffee making facilities, satellite television, telephones and lap top facilities as well as DVD Players.
